InHealth Endoscopy are delighted to have been granted, ‘National Endoscopy Training Centre’ status – a first for the independent sector. Working in the heart of Bristol, Prime Endoscopy sees referrals from General Practice as well as supporting our local hospitals with their endoscopy provision. We have a wide range of experienced endoscopists working with us who cannot wait to pass on the benefits of their knowledge and experience.
BASIC
COLONOSCOPY
A 3-day intensive, interactive, practical course – a series of small group and one-to-one teaching sessions, videos, hands-on model work and supervised endoscopy.
INTRODUCTION TO TRANSNASAL ENDOSCOPY
A 1-day course for accredited endoscopists or advanced trainees looking to familiarise themselves with this excellent technique for gastroscopy.
INTRODUCTION TO ENDOSCOPY NURSING
A 1-day course for endoscopy workforce staff wishing to develop skills to assist in endoscopic procedures.
SIMULATED ENDOSCOPY (COMING SOON)
Virtual endoscopic procedures, and peri-procedural simulated scenarios. Human Factors Training for endoscopy teams.

Dr Lister Metcalfe
Training Centre Director
Lister’s aim is to make your endoscopy career fulfilling and fun. He enjoys rugby and sailing and has a house full of animals.
Dr Dennis Lim
Consultant Gastroenterologist
Qualified in Leeds, undertaking his Gastroenterology/Endoscopic training in Leicester, Dennis enjoys cycling and travelling.
Lois Penketh-King
Clinical Nurse Endoscopist
Lois specialises in Trans Nasal Gastroscopy. She is also part of the Olympus Faculty Team showcasing capabilities of performing TNE. Lois loves socialising, and ice skating.
Dr Martin Maida
Consultant Gastroenterologist
The current Training Lead at the Great Western Hospital Swindon, Martin has a fantastic calm approach to endoscopy and loves music.
Jon Shufflebotham
Primary Care Endoscopist
Initially trained in gastroenterology, Jon is now a local GP with a special interest. Jon loves fitness and travelling.

InHealth Endoscopy Training Centre (South West) is delighted to be working in partnership with the Bristol Endoscopy Training Collaborative to provide advanced endoscopy courses using ‘wet lab’ models – operated from the Vesalius Clinical Training Centre
