Yesterday, we hosted the grand opening of our new CDC, which is located in the heart of Liverpool, just next to the Albert Docks and a popular area of the city that’s close to bars, restaurants and great transport links. Set across two floors, the centre is home to; MRI, X-Ray, Health Screening services and a number of consulting rooms. Now fully open, the stunning centre is already welcoming many private patients through Vista Health, who have so far shared glowing reviews of their experiences.
Having taken 8 months to complete, the CDC faced a number of unique challenges, given the nature of the Georgian building, including raising the floor height, lifting a 5 tonne magnet into the basement, closing the road over a weekend and installing a new sub-station to provide power. As a historic building, the CDC is also accessed by a high level front door, which had to be addressed to ensure the building is accessible for wheelchair users, but also remained in keeping with the look and feel of the rest of the street. As a result, we have installed an incredible stair lift, which is one of only a handful in the UK and encompasses an innovative design that provides both stairs and a lift.
All the hard work is abundantly clear in these stunning photos – what a fantastic healthcare facility, one we are incredibly proud of. We are also very grateful to our build partners DD Porter, our Quantity Surveyor Collabora Consulting CCL, CSM Architects and our landlord Iliad Group. All of our partners have been integral in the opening of our new centre and we couldn’t have done it without them.
At the official opening event on Thursday 15th February, we were very pleased to welcome all our build partners, as well as Councillor Nick Small, Head of Economy at Liverpool City Council, some of our Vista private partners (Medbelle, UKS, Panthera, Inuvi), and the team from the Independent Healthcare Provider Network, including David Hare CEO, Charlie Boyd Policy Officer and Danielle Henry, Assistant Director of Policy and Programmes. InHealth are very proud to be a member of IHPN, and of the work that we are doing in diagnostics to support the NHS and the UK to ensure fair and easy access to quality healthcare, so it was a pleasure to host them.
We’re delighted to have this CDC in Liverpool and we look forward to creating even more in the future.
